Groton Rotary Foundation Grants: 2017-18
$10,000 to Groton Little League for the new lighting at the Calvin Burrows Field on South Road. This is a major, permanent addition to sports activity for hundreds of boys and girls.
$200 each for school gardens at the Charles Barnum and Claude Chester elementary schools in Groton. Here, we are able to encourage valuable learning that school budgets almost never cover.
$750 to the Sea Legs program based in Noank. Sea legs teaches young people boat safety and sailing skills every summer. This program opens to children, without any need to pay, the world of pleasures on the water.

Particular emphasis is given to helping children, needy families, the aged, the handicapped, and those most in need of assistance.
